At just 11 years old, Lee celebrated his birthday exploring the magic of Disney, a much-needed escape from hospital visits and treatments. In May 2024, we were deeply moved to learn that Margaret had included Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana in her will, following in her husband Bill’s footsteps.
Together, they ensured their legacy of love would live on by providing hope to children and families just like their own. Their generous estate gift of approximately $450,000 will help grant countless life-changing wishes for children facing critical illnesses, continuing to create joy and inspiration for generations. The Chessers’ story is a profound example of the impact grandparents can have when they honor their grandchildren through giving.
