In October 2022, Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana marked an incredible milestone—granting 10,000 wishes in our history! The Houston Astros helped create a truly unforgettable day at the ballpark for wish kids Adrian, Elizabeth, and Lourdes. Each of them had wished to meet Jose Altuve and Kyle Tucker! After signing their official one-day contracts with the Astros, the wish kids joined the team for batting practice, then got the sellout crowd ready for the game when they yelled, “Play Ball!” before the first pitch. After that, Adrian, Elizabeth, and Lourdes were the loudest fans at the game, cheering on their team to a 10-0 victory! Also in the stands-- our amazing wish alumni! They got to support our sweet wish kids and enjoy an action- packed game!
