About Internships

Our internship program is designed to give each individual a diverse and rewarding experience while working towards fulfilling our mission.

Internships provide individuals with hands-on learning opportunities while allowing them to grow and succeed. Although all internships are unpaid, students interested in a career in the non-profit sector will find a wealth of experience by working with the Make-A-Wish San Diego office.

Internship Opportunities

Our internship application period for Fall 2020 is now closed. We will begin accepting applications for Spring 2021 on December 1, 2020.

Applications will be due on December 11th, 2020. If you are selected for an interview, they will be conducted virtually between December 14th and 18th. Please check back closer to the application

Application Process

All prospective interns must complete an assessment before being considered for an internship with Make-A-Wish San Diego including an application, cover letter & resume.

In order to best serve our community, we require all applicants to go through an assessment before becoming an active part of our company.  This includes a completed application, resume, and cover letter and a potential interview. You may include additional materials if you would like with your application. Upon reviewing your application, we may contact you for next steps. Please note, our needs vary at any given time and unfortunately not all applicants will be contacted. Click the links below to download additional information and the internship application.
