Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana Hires Fort Wayne Native Jenny Boyd to Head Northeast Indiana Region
New Fort Wayne office will help Make-A-Wish OKI better serve Northeast Indiana kids
(Northeast Indiana) July 6th, 2020 – Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana (Make-A-Wish OKI) is pleased to announce Fort Wayne native Jenny Boyd has joined the team as Senior Development Officer. Boyd will head the new Make-A-Wish OKI Fort Wayne office in an effort to better serve northeast Indiana kids.
Boyd, an active member of the Fort Wayne community and longtime Make-A-Wish supporter, comes to Make-A-Wish OKI after serving as Marketing Coordinator and Platinum Club Manager at Eddie Merlot’s for 14 years. As Northeast Indiana Make-A-Wish Advisory Council Co-Chair, she helped organize the inaugural Make-A-Wish An Evening in Paradise Gala at Eddie Merlot’s in 2019 that brought in nearly $250,000 for Make-A-Wish OKI.
“We are so excited to be expanding our outreach in northeast Indiana,” said Boyd. “The need for wishes in our area is great. We have a growing number of local children with critical illnesses who are waiting for a wish, which increases the need for wish granting volunteers to help make those wishes come true. With the opening of our new office in Fort Wayne, we’ll be able to have a larger impact across northeast Indiana and make even more life-changing wishes come true which deliver hope and joy to kids who need it most.”
Make-A-Wish OKI President and CEO Stephanie McCormick, who was appointed in March, is also based in Fort Wayne. McCormick recently returned to Fort Wayne after serving as President & CEO of Make-A-Wish Orange County & The Inland Empire since 2011. McCormick comes to Make-A-Wish OKI with nearly 42 years of nonprofit experience, including serving as President and CEO of the United Way of Allen County from 2002-2006.
