The Indiana Make-A-Wish Gala is Going Virtual
The JP Morgan Chase Indiana Hope is Essential Virtual Gala presented by FedEx will be streamed on Thursday, July 30
(Indiana) July 10th, 2020 – To protect the health of wish kids, their families and our generous supporters during these uncertain times, Make-A-Wish® Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana (Make-AWish OKI) has transitioned our upcoming Indiana BIG Wish® Gala to a virtual event. The JP Morgan Chase Indiana Hope is Essential Virtual Gala presented by FedEx is going virtual on Thursday, July 30th,from 7:15 p.m.- 8:15 p.m.
“We’re disappointed we won’t get to see our guests in person this year, but are looking forward to welcoming wish kids, their families, supporters, donors, and sponsors from the comfort of their homes for what is sure to be an inspiring night,” said Make-A-Wish OKI President & CEO Stephanie McCormick. “Right now, we’re reimagining the way we grant wishes, and we’re still busy making wishes come true that deliver hope to children in communities across Indiana. Children with critical illnesses need the hope and joy that wishes bring. Now more than ever, that Hope is Essential!”
The JP Morgan Chase Indiana Hope is Essential Virtual Gala presented by FedEx will be emceed by Dave Smiley, co-host of the Smiley Morning Show on 99.5 ZPL. Every year, Smiley hosts the ZPL Make-A-Wish Request-A-Thon which has raised $8 million for Make-A-Wish OKI since it began. The evening will feature inspirational wish stories from local wish kids, Make-A-Wish CoFounder Linda Pauling will share a message of hope and viewers will have the opportunity to grant wishes right now for kids who are waiting. The event also features exciting auction packages including a 2021 Indianapolis 500 package that includes two tickets to the big race and an escort to the track.
