In 2024, we partnered with the Amazon Air Hub at Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky International Airport (Erlanger, KY) for the inaugural Amazon Run/Walk & Roll for Wishes 5K. The event united 400 participants—including Amazonians from fulfillment and transportation operations alongside community members—who collectively raised more than $50,000 for the cause!
Amazon Air Operations Manager and wish dad, Erick Peterson, spearheaded an expanded celebration that went beyond the traditional 5K. Local wish kids and families were treated to a special VIP experience at Amazon’s Northern Kentucky Air Hub, complete with a red-carpet entrance lined with cheering employees. The special guests toured the state-of-the-art robotics sortation center and a branded cargo aircraft, received custom gift baskets filled with toys, stuffed animals, and gift cards, and enjoyed a celebratory lunch. Thank you, Amazon, for bringing smiles to the faces of our wish kids and families.Â
