This fall, Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana staff came together for our annual All Staff Retreat for fellowship and a celebration of a record number of wishes granted. Â
This two-day retreat was held at Flying Horse Farms for the first time. The camp in Mt. Gilead, Ohio, features a state-of-the-art medical facility and 24-7 on-site care from a full-time medical team, making it possible for children with serious illnesses to heal, grow and thrive. Many of the children who go to camp are also wish kids.
Our staff experienced what so many youth campers have enjoyed before: ziplining, archery, campfires, crafts & more. We also took time to learn new skills and strategies to help us best serve our children and families encountering difficult challenges. Â
In 2023, we were proud to have been named a Top Workplace by Energage, an independent research company that analyzes employee feedback data from thousands of organizations. We believe our All Staff Retreat is key to our meaningful and people-first culture. At camp, the fresh air and starlit sky brought us all a fresh perspective and we’re already looking forward to next year!Â
