Cody's Wish

In November of 2022, the world watched as Cody's Wish, a racehorse named after Kentucky wish kid Cody, won the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile. We were honored to have NBC Sports highlight this incredible bond between a boy and a horse.

In 2018, wish kid Cody Dorman was paired with Godolphin Racing for Make-A-Wish Day at Keeneland. As part of the experience, Godolphin invited Cody, who battles a genetic disorder, to tour Gainsborough Farm in Kentucky, where Cody instantly connected with a foal. After the meeting, the foal was named ‘Cody’s Wish’ in Cody’s honor, and since then, the boy and horse have maintained a special bond.

Cody was in the crowd on November 5th, 2022 at Keeneland when Cody’s Wish won the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile! It was an incredible moment watched by millions around the world, and a reminder of the power of a wish.
