Volunteer Spotlight: Shradha Singh

Shradha’s journey with Make-A-Wish began with her own story. Both of her daughters were born with medical conditions, requiring surgeries that were challenging emotionally, physically, and financially. “As a parent, seeing your child suffer is the hardest thing,” she shared. Thankfully, her family overcame those struggles, and today, her daughters, now 11 and 13, are thriving. Grateful for their resilience, Shradha decided to pay it forward by joining Make-A-Wish.

For Shradha, the most rewarding part of wish granting is connecting with the wish kids and uncovering what truly brings them joy. “These kids are fighters. Their innocence, beauty, and appreciation for life are unbelievably strong,” she said.

One moment she holds dear is a wish from a little boy who asked not for fancy things but simply to see his family in another state. “After that call, I just sat in silence, completely in admiration. It was a powerful reminder of what really matters.”

Shradha’s impact goes beyond the wish kids—she also connects with their parents. “When you talk to them, you can see their hardships, and all you want to do is give them some mental peace and love,” she explained. Her dedication to providing hope and comfort makes a difference not just for the wish kids but for their entire families.

Shradha wants others to know that volunteering with Make-A-Wish is flexible and accessible for everyone. Despite her busy schedule as a mom, wife, and professional, she finds time to volunteer remotely. “Whether it’s calls, texts, or emails, Make-A-Wish allows you to volunteer at your own pace. It’s so easy and fulfilling.”

Shradha’s message is clear: wish granting isn’t just about extravagant trips or gifts—it’s about making dreams come true and creating moments that matter. “Every child deserves to smile, and every parent deserves to see their child happy,” she said.

Thank you, Shradha, for inspiring us with your heart and for being a beacon of hope for wish kids and their families!
