What’s a typical day look like for you? This question made me laugh 😊 I don’t really have a typical day and I love it! Most days I am doing a few welcome calls, trying to contact families, working on lots of different mission integration projects at once, creating queries in RE and video chatting with Ashley! I always love days when I get to work with the development team or talking to a wish family out of the blue!

Favorite part of your job: So easy – the PEOPLE! This staff and our wish families are what keep me going. This past year it has been so evident to me truly how necessary this mission is - our wish kids and families are heroes. I love that our mission is to celebrate these warriors and share their incredible stories.

A memorable wish experience: The first celebrity wish I helped grant as an intern. Getting to call mom and tell her they could go to meet Captain America in four days after waiting 2+ years and getting to plan all the details of their wish was so special. Her reaction was priceless, and the family dropped everything for the experience to celebrate their child. It was a life-changing experience, and I knew in that moment my dream was to work for Make-A-Wish one day.

Hobbies: Hospitality! All my favorite thigs to do are correlate to my love for sharing with others a place that feels like home – cooking, baking, interior design, hosting, visiting friends and family, sharing a meal around the table, watching sports, being active.

Favorite holiday tradition: I love spending Christmas with my family in Turkey, Texas! Driving from Austin to Turkey with my parents and sister on Christmas day have been some of our favorite memories as an immediate family – laughing, singing, sleeping, eating Dairy Queen and always making fun of my mom! Most years after we celebrate Christmas with everyone, grandad makes us go tarp his cotton modules (if you don’t know how to tarp a cotton module, I would love to share!). Its typically anywhere from 10-30 degrees outside and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Something people might not know about you: I had every venue booked and detail planned for my wedding before I got engaged and Garrett was a part of all of it!
