Builders of Hope Committee member, K2 Construction of Dallas, Texas, joined forces with Make-A-Wish North Texas to make Michaela’s wish come true!  

With a love for the outdoors, Michaela had long wished for a backyard that was both beautiful and functional. Unfortunately, the uneven ground made it difficult to navigate her wheelchair, and the scorching Texas heat made outdoor time a challenge. 

Thanks to the heart and dedication of several K2 Construction employees, Michaela’s wish was granted in the most exciting way! The team came together with a shared vision of creating an oasis where Michaela and her family could relax, laugh, and enjoy the outdoors without worry. 

K2 employees worked tirelessly to provide a wheelchair-accessible swing, giving Michaela the freedom to sway and smile in the fresh air. But they didn’t stop there: they added a stunning shaded area, providing relief from the heat and ensuring this backyard would be a haven for family time, whether rain or shine. 

Michaela and her family were filled with excitement as they explored their transformed backyard and experienced her new outdoor haven for the first time. Thanks to the partnership of K2 Construction, Michaela’s wish was more than fulfilled; it blossomed into a new chapter of endless outdoor adventures!
