2021 Fiscal Year in Review
The pandemic changed the way we grant wishes, but it didn’t stop us from bringing joy to children with critical illnesses across 161 counties in North Texas.
We kept health and safety at the forefront of every decision and granted wishes that had no COVID-19 related restrictions such as a wish for a playhouse, a wish for an online shopping spree or a wish to meet virtually with a celebrity. These wishes helped create positivity amid illness, spark hope for the future and reunify families around an uplifting experience.
Thanks to incredible donors like you, we granted wishes for children like:
- Kasen, a 9-year-old with congenital heart disease, who wished for an outdoor skating rink
- Hannah, a 14-year-old living with lymphoma, who wished for an art studio
- Ivanna, a 4-year-old with a genetic disorder who wished for a hot tub
- Harper, an 11-year-old who wished for a backyard craft shack
- Luke, a 13-year-old who wished for a train room
- ...and so many more heartwarming wishes!
These children across North Texas were given a chance to take a step away from the hospital stays, doctors appointments and medications to play, laugh, relax and to just be kids again.
Thank you for the kind support you have shown over the last year. We’re excited for what’s to come, and we will continue to monitor guidance from national and international public health and government organizations, keeping the best interest of the children and families we serve at the center of all policy decisions we make.
Thank you again for your continued support of our mission!
