“Kevin! You spent $967 on room service!?”

Wish kid Cameron is a creative, fun-loving nine-year-old, who - when he’s not playing the drums or painting - loves to climb trees and catch salamanders in the creek in his backyard. He is also obsessed with all things “Home Alone,” “Home Alone 2” and actor Macaulay Caulkin.

Cameron has a brain tumor and, when asked what his wish was, he responded with an answer many of us can appreciate: I wish to go to New York City. His mission: To re-create the movie “Home Alone 2” with his family (minus the robbers)!

Cameron and his family had a fun-filled adventure in New York (Kevin McCallister style), as their trip included staying at the The Plaza Hotel, ordering an ice cream sundae bar via room service, taking a limo trip around the city (with a cheese pizza included, of course), perusing the American Museum of Natural History, strolling around Central Park, and visiting Top of the Rock NYC, the observation deck at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

Suffice to say, Cameron and his family had a blast in the Big Apple, as their experience was a welcome reprieve from constant doctor’s appointments and medical treatments. The memories made will last a lifetime, and we know that this was an experience that Cameron will never forget!
