The Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana Young Leaders Board (YLB) is a dynamic group of young professionals, ages 22 to 40, from across the Greater Houston area who are united by a shared passion: bringing hope, strength, and joy to children with critical illnesses.

As ambassadors of the Make-A-Wish mission, YLB members are committed to advancing the life-changing work of the organization—helping to grant transformative wishes that uplift children and their families during some of their most challenging times. Through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement, the YLB plays a vital role in expanding the reach and impact of Make-A-Wish across our region.

In return, members benefit from meaningful personal and professional development opportunities. From exclusive networking events and leadership roles to mentorship from the Make-A-Wish Board of Directors, YLB members grow as changemakers while making a tangible difference in the lives of others.

The YLB also hosts and participates in a variety of social and philanthropic events throughout the year, including the highly anticipated Wish Ball gala, signature YLB fundraisers, and volunteer opportunities that bring members closer to the heart of the Make-A-Wish mission.

The YLB has raised more than $210,000 on behalf of Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana and fully sponsored ten wishes as of August 2026. Together, we are building a community of leaders who believe in the power of a wish—and who are committed to making those wishes come true.
