Welcome to Our Wish Community

A drawing by a child, depicting a yellow star in the middle of the blue planet, with smaller yellow stars encircling the planet. The words "Wish Community" are included as is the Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island logo.

Our Wish Community logo was inspired by wish art submitted by 2018 wish recipient Mikayla, now eight years old. Her wish was to go to Walt Disney World® Resort.

Through our growing Wish Community, we're helping our past wish recipients and their families connect with and support one another, share experiences, and inspire each other and our community. Our goal is to create a strong network of wish recipient alumni and their families to amplify the power of a wish—a power that extends beyond a child’s wish being fulfilled.

Share Your Story

Your story is powerful, inspiring, and needed. Share your thoughts on your Make-A-Wish experience and its impact. Your story can inspire others to support our mission and help us reach every eligible child. Send your reflections, photos, and/or video to Wish Community Manager Monica Julian at mjulian@massri.wish.org. If your photos/videos are a larger file size, please reach out to Monica to coordinate uploading them to a file sharing site (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox).

Share Your Wish Art

Put your art skills to use to support the Make-A-Wish mission. We are asking for wish recipients to create and submit original art. Artwork will be used for many purposes, including a coloring book for wish kids, art displays at Make-A-Wish events, holiday cards, and more.

Any type of art can be submitted – drawings, paintings, digital artwork, and whatever else you can dream up!

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Create a piece of art showing your wish and the impact it had on you.
  • Draw a black and white outline that can be colored in.
  • Paint or draw a holiday scene – winter holidays, Valentine’s Day, MLK Day – or any other holiday you love.
  • Show your appreciation for those who make wishes come true with “thank you” art.

We hope you have fun with this and create something beautiful to share with Make-A-Wish supporters.

Artwork can be submitted to Wish Community Manager Monica Julian at mjulian@massri.wish.org. For questions, contact Monica via email or at 617.367.9474.

Host a Families For Wishes Fundraising Page

Your family can spark joy by granting another child’s wish – and create hope for brighter days ahead.

Children with critical illnesses feel isolated and vulnerable. As a wish family, you know that reality well. Your family understands the pain of a child being diagnosed with a critical illness. And you also understand the power of a wish to restore joy and hope.

That’s why we want you to invite you to host a Families For Wishes online fundraiser. With Families For Wishes, you can engage your family and friends in our mission and help others who are waiting for a wish.

Together, your family can create a tradition that changes lives.

Whether your family is near or far, Families For Wishes gives you a meaningful way to come together to celebrate a special occasion— whether a birthday, anniversary, milestone event, or a holiday. Every dollar raised matters, so your  tradition will make a remarkable difference for other wish families in our community.

A child’s joy is a light of hope for all of us. During another family’s darkest days, you can help bring joy back into their lives with Families For Wishes.

Please contact Monica Julian, Wish Community Manager, at mjulian@massri.wish.org if you are interested in helping make wishes come true through Families For Wishes.

Through a workplace campaign, employees can give conveniently by directing payroll deductions or a one-time gift to Make-A-Wish® Massachusetts and Rhode Island. We can help launch your program with brochures, an inspiring wish video, and a Make-A-Wish representative to generate enthusiasm. If your employer participates in a matching gifts program, you can submit charitable contributions to be matched. Contact Mariama Sano at msano@massri.wish.org or 617.367.9474 to learn more.
