What is your position, and how long have you been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
I am a Program Manager, and have been at Make-A-Wish Minnesota for 15 years.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working at Make-A-Wish?
The most rewarding thing about working here is watching a wish child’s imagination come to fruition. Seeing what can happen when volunteers, donors and a child’s wish come together. It's pretty amazing when you think about it.

What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
Oh so many favorite wish experiences to choose from but I would say right now, it’s the Star Wars fan film wish. The wish child worked on every aspect, writing the script, the read through, working with a voice coach and of course acting in it alongside his entire family. It was an amazing experience to watch the Minnesota acting community rally around his wish idea.

Are there any personal, fun facts you'd like to share?
I am from Duluth and love to be on the North shore. Any chance I have to go home, I take it!

What advice would you give to new volunteers?
My advice is to have fun, let the experience remind you what it’s like to be a child again. Listen intently and enjoy all that is magical about what you are doing for Make-A-Wish families.
