Make-A-Wish Illinois announces Boxless Media as the recipient of the 2022 Commitment to Community, Group Award for creating connection and inclusion in the community by building awareness and support for wishes.

Led by Make-A-Wish volunteer Jason Baumann, the team at Boxless Media in Brookfield has helped to create and preserve incredible wish memories for children in the greater Chicago area.  They think beyond the wish itself and put in the hard work, time, and thoughtfulness to bring together the entire community to experience the impact of a wish.

Jason and those from Boxless have created beautiful videos for families to enjoy and for Make-A-Wish to share with supporters. With their connections across the area, Boxless has also been able to enhance wishes by involving local first responders for exciting wish send offs, parades and even for granting wishes. Their expertise in digital media was especially helpful as Jason consulted with a teen whose wish was to build a gaming computer. 

With every wish they help make special, the staff of Boxless can see the benefit and knows they want to help more.

“The wish is not only a life-changing event for the wish family and wish child, but it’s truly life-changing for those who helped to make it come true too,” Baumann said.

“We’re especially grateful for the support from Boxless for documenting the power of wishes as they happen,” said Jessica Miller, senior communications manager for Make-A-Wish Illinois. “Not only are the photos and videos incredible keepsakes for the family, but we can share these wishes with our wide network of supporters so they can see how their contributions are making a difference.”
