What is your position, and how long have you been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
My role at Make-A-Wish is as the Donor Database Administrator.I process the donations, run reports and keep our database as up-to-date as possible. I started in March 2021 so I have been here a little over 2 years

What is the most rewarding aspect of working at Make-A-Wish?
I am a very data-focused and analytical person, so I very purposely chose to work at an organization where I strongly support the mission to keep me engaged and motivated. I love hearing about the current wishes the program team and volunteers are working on and seeing their impact on the children, their families, and their communities.

What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
I haven’t had the opportunity to participate in any wishes yet but one of my favorites that I have heard about in our staff meeting is Chloe, who wanted to have her own business selling clay dragons and prints. Chloe’s wish was very creative and will be something she can do for years to come! It has been a joy to see how creative our wish kids are, as well as our volunteers and program team as they continue granting wishes during this challenging time!

Are there any personal, fun facts you'd like to share?
I have always lived in the Twin Cities and currently live in St. Paul. I am married to my husband, Allen, and have an almost 1 year old son, Weston. One of my favorite hobbies is trying new restaurants. Some of my favorites in the Twin Cities are Estelle, Alma, Pajarito, and Young Joni.

What advice (if any) would you give to new volunteers?
Ask questions as they come up! We want you to feel as comfortable and equipped as possible to complete your role, whatever it is. And know how valued you are! We are so grateful for each volunteer; we know we couldn’t make the impact we do in the community without them.
