Make-A-Wish® Idaho to Raise Money and Airline Miles during the 2021 Wishes in Flight Telethon.

Boise, ID: On March 10, 2021, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Make-A-Wish Idaho will be conducting an on-air telethon in partnership with KBOI Channel 2. This is an opportunity for people around the state to call in and donate air miles and money. Airline miles that are donated to Make-A-Wish Idaho never expire and   will be put to use after the pandemic.

“Travel wishes have been postponed until the end of 2021. When we are able to grant travel wishes again, we will have to grant more of them and faster than ever before," said Special Event and Development Manager Helene Peterson. "We are raising money to support those wishes that we can currently grant like shopping spree wishes, wishes to have play sets and Ellie’s wish who wanted to have Christmas in a cabin in the snow. Her wish came true in December of 2020."

Make-A-Wish Idaho is able to accept miles from those with Alaska, Delta and United Airlines mileage accounts. The number to call the day of the telethon is (208) 208-345-9474 or interested donors can go to the      Make-A-Wish Idaho website, idaho.wish.org, and click on the Wishes in Flight link to fill out and fax, email or mail a form to our offices.

Fewer people (including Idaho wish kids) are traveling due to the coronavirus pandemic, so Make-A-Wish Idaho will also be accepting monetary donations during this year's fundraiser. The money will be used to      grant wishes throughout the state of Idaho.Â
