Cayden is a playful five-year-old from Riverside County that is fighting his battle as a strong warrior against intractable epilepsy. To cope with his illness, Cayden recharges by exploring the outdoors, playing with the leaves, and sitting in the grass. When he’s relaxing in the comfort of his own home, Cayden enjoys reading with his family and playing with apps such as the Sesame Tree app and the Sensory Fish app. Cayden’s mind is imaginative just like one of his favorite authors, Dr. Seuss. Surrounding himself with Dr. Seuss books and Sesame Street movies has made his imaginative and playful demeanor contagious to those around him.
When thinking about a wish, Cayden dreamed of owning an adaptive bike. This bike is Cayden’s top wish choice as he would enjoy the use of an adaptive bike while being able to strengthen his core and legs. He currently uses an adaptive bike at school and loves it, however, it does not feel complete without a playful horn. With Cayden being able to strengthen his body, this will also allow him to strengthen his ability to continue fighting and to keep overcoming each and every obstacle that his intractable epilepsy springs on him. When Cayden’s wish came true, he was overcome with joy and happiness. Considering how much he values his time outside and being one with nature, he looks forward to spending even more time outside in a new way with his shiny new bike. Cayden is ready to show his intractable epilepsy how powerful his imagination is and how strong his body will continue to be against his battle.
