The Youth Leadership Council
The Youth Leadership Council is coming to Make-A-Wish® Idaho this Fall!
The Make‑A‑Wish® Idaho Youth Leadership Council is more than fundraising; it’s students leading meaningful change for children with critical illnesses right here in our state.
YLC is a volunteer leadership council made up of motivated high school students who take the reins. Students design and lead fundraising efforts, build awareness inside their schools, and help turn hope into reality—one wish at a time.
Make‑A‑Wish Idaho is deeply invested in this program. We provide structure, mentorship, resources, and ongoing support so students aren’t just participating they’re leading. YLC members gain hands‑on experience in philanthropy, teamwork, communication, and community leadership while working directly with a mission that changes lives.
Why it matters:
- Students lead their own initiatives—by students, for kids
- Real leadership, not resume padding
- Direct connection to impact: every effort helps grant a wish
- A powerful way for schools to invest in service‑driven leadership

- Enrollment fee: $25 per student
- Fundraising: Each student is required to host a fundraiser to benefit MAWI
- Procurement: Send of 5 asks
