Summary

The Bilingual Wish Coordinator is responsible for the daily oversight and implementation of the specific wishes to which they are assigned. The position also supports wishgranting for children visiting the San Diego area from outside the region through the Wish Assist program.

Basic functions include intake and maintenance of wish records, submitting vendor requests, creating itineraries, soliciting in-kind donations, communicating with volunteers and wish families as needed, and researching options for wish experiences. Additional responsibilities include monitoring wish files, database work, communicating with medical professionals, and general office support.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate wishes in their entirety within the established policies and procedures
  • Perform data entry related to wish and budget information
  • Communicate with medical partners, volunteers, and wish families as needed
  • Complete weekly tasks to ensure the Wish Assist program remains efficient
  • Create detailed wish trip itineraries
  • Communicate with new and existing vendors to solicit in-kind donations
  • Serve as on-call emergency contact for wish families
Requirements
  • Bilingual- English/Spanish required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience in a professional office setting
  • Must have working cell phone
  • Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Ability to travel within San Diego and Imperial Counties
Education & Experience

BA/BS degree (or year-over-year working experience) in related field preferred

Chapter Benefits

Compensation: This is an hourly position with a starting rate of $24.04/hr. ($50,000/yr.)
