Bee gives the gift of hope and joy to many
Meet wish sibling and volunteer, Bee!
Her brother received his wish to go to Disney World at a time when their family needed it most; the medical journey had caused great stress on their family, but his wish allowed them to leave that behind for a while and enjoy their time together. Joining him on wish was Bee, their mom, and their late aunt, which made the trip even more special.
“We felt like true royalty, and we had no worries in the world. That trip brought my family together in a way that still holds today,” said Bee.
When reflecting on the wish, Bee recalls the small moments that brought so much joy, such eating ice cream for breakfast, walking around Give Kids the World and noticing how colorful the buildings were, and sitting around the table watching her aunt eat a banana split. “Seeing the joy and happiness we got to experience together; I want to give that to as many people as I can,” shared Bee.
She began volunteering as a wish granter and event volunteer in 2024 after she finished school and moved back to Minnesota, taking after her mom who had been volunteering since 2016.
Her favorite part of being a Make-A-Wish Volunteer is “watching families get to experience beautiful moments of joy through the journeys they face.” She wants current wish kids to know that “the world is truly yours.”
Bee also has another meaningful connection to Make-A-Wish through her childhood best friend, Trent, who was also a Wish Kid in the 2000s before he passed away. Knowing her brother got to experience the same joy Trent once did makes her wish story even more special.
We are so grateful for Bee and her giving the gift of joy and happiness to so many.
