For 13-year-old Wish Kid Emily, music is a source of strength. In fact, she would listen to music, especially the K-pop group, Stray Kids, during her treatments. Through every challenge, Emily’s love for K-pop inspired her, and the good message behind the Stray Kids’ song “Alien” resonated deeply with her. It’s a message of embracing what makes you different and finding power in individuality.  

When Emily learned that her Wish to see Stray Kids live was coming true, excitement filled the air! She and her family traveled to Los Angeles, California, where her dreams awaited.  

In L.A, she wandered through the vibrant halls of the Aquarium of the Pacific, watched colorful marine life glide around her, and later strolled the boardwalk at the Santa Monica Pier, where the Pacific breeze and Ferris wheel lights added magic to the trip. 

But nothing could compare to the moment she stepped into a limousine and was escorted to the concert of her dreams! There, under blazing lights and surrounded by thousands of fans, Emily got to see Stray Kids live and hear the lyrics she turned to for strength brought to life right before her eyes. 

“We had a fantastic trip,” said Emily’s mom. “Thank you so much for helping make her trip truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for her! She had an absolute blast and has been completely over the moon.” 

For Emily, her Wish will always remind her to be confident, unique, and unapologetically herself.
