Make-A-Wish Vermont & Northeast New York announced a key staff change today aimed at strengthening internal operations and supporting expanded wish-granting capacity following the merger of Make-A-Wish Vermont and Northeast New York chapters earlier this year.

Shawna Wakeham-Smith of Williston, Vermont’s promotion comes after serving Make-A-Wish Vermont as Director of Wish Granting for over a decade, and more recently as Vice President to the regional Vermont and Northeast New York chapter. As Chief Operating Officer, she will oversee the expansion of the chapter’s referral efforts while ensuring the organization delivers on its promise to provide hope, strength, and joy to every eligible child.
