I Met Them in Real Life

Faith must take blood thinners and can’t engage in horseplay on account of her condition. She’s at high risk of stroke, blood clots, and heart attack. “I have learned that my girl is so very brave, smart, and beautiful. She faces every obstacle head on and continues to be strong when I am weak,” her mom, Teresa, wrote.

In her spare time, Faith likes to draw, color, cook, dance at powwows, and play with her friends. She enjoys the beach, building sandcastles, collecting seashells and wants to be a doctor when she grows up.

Faith chose Disney for her wish because she loves princesses, especially Elsa and Anna. She pretends she has special powers like Elsa. She also loves the ocean and for the longest time talked about going there. When she was very sick, Faith watched Disney movies to help her feel better.

Wish mom Teresa explained how she felt when she found out Faith was eligible for a wish. “I was overwhelmed with emotion. I felt like we were taking from other families. Mo [Make-A-Wish® Idaho Senior Wish Coordinator] assured me that this was Faith’s special time, and she deserved everything that was included in the wish. I still get choked up when I share Faith's wish with coworkers and friends. It’s such a beautiful experience!

“Faith was really excited when she received her special package. She was so happy she screamed and jumped for joy. The excitement didn’t really hit her till we boarded the plane. She said, ‘Mama I’m going to be a special princess.’ It made me very emotional to witness her smile ear to ear the whole time.”

Faith and family traveled to Disney World in March 2025. It was her first time on an airplane. She visited all the Disney Parks, Universal Studios, SeaWorld, and the beach.

“Faith loved every minute of it,” Teresa wrote. “If I had to pick three special moments, it would be when we spent the first day at the beach — to see her eyes light up with excitement and hear her little screams of joy as the waves pushed her body made me cry.

“The second moment was spending time at Disney Magic Kingdom. Faith snapped her own selfie in front of Cinderella Castle. The parade was her favorite because she saw Elsa and Anna. I’ll never forget the moment that Elsa waved to Faith, and she jumped so high with excitement!

"Lastly, making her star at Give Kids the World. She still talks about her star with three hearts of love that will be there forever and ever.

“Faith’s wish had an impact on all of us. We felt very blessed to receive such generosity, love, and kindness from complete strangers. It wasn’t just Give Kids the World, but we made friends everywhere we went with complete strangers who seemed drawn towards Faith.

“Faith still talks about Florida and wanting to go back to be special. She’s happier, and anytime we see a Disney commercial she says ‘I met them in real life.’ She feels invincible, and we look forward to going back to volunteer and to remember the special week we spent forgetting about all the pain and sadness we endured to get there.

“It was a very beautiful experience, and we will cherish it forever. Faith loves to look at the photos we took while on her wish. She can recall every moment we shared, and she still smiles ear to ear.”
