Dr. Philip Thrush specializes in cardiology and serves as the medical director for the heart transplant program at Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago. He has been involved with Make-A-Wish since 2013 as one of our chapter's trusted medical advisors.

In addition to his work supporting our chapter locally, Dr. Thrush also served on the National Medical Advisory Council for nine years, where he worked with a team of other pediatric experts from across the country to set the Make-A-Wish standards for wish eligibility and safety.
