Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana 2024 Impact Report

At Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, we’re celebrating another year of granting incredible wishes and reaching new milestones that would never have been possible without kind, caring, and generous people like you. With your support, we granted 1,061 wishes in the fiscal year 2024!

Some highlights include wish kid Laura from central Ohio, who got to train in the pool with her idol, Olympian Katie Ledecky (watch the ESPN story here)! Wish kid Levi from Kentucky became a San Francisco 49er for a day (watch the ESPN story here), and we sent hundreds of children and their families to Disney World to meet their favorite characters and become princesses and superheroes. We also granted Joshua’s wish to be a published author (check out his book here) and sent dozens of kids across our three states to concert stops on Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour!

It was also another record year for fundraising. Read on to learn how the University of Kentucky Chi Omegas are finding purpose on campus by supporting Make-A-Wish and how Corporate Trailblazer MISO inspires other Indiana companies to get involved with our mission.

Together, we’ve accomplished so much. Over the past decade, we’ve adapted to increasing demand for wishes, raised record revenue, and innovated through a global pandemic. We’re proud to have granted 21,000+ wishes since our founding, but more work remains to be done. We have to accelerate our fundraising efforts and broaden our reach to meet the growing need and achieve our vision of granting the wishes of every eligible child.  Thank you for continuing to support our vital mission and for bringing hope, strength, and joy to our children, families, and communities.

Each of us has the power to transform a child’s life!

Introducing Juli Miller

We are excited to introduce you to Juli Miller, the new President & Chief Executive Officer of Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana! As Chief Mission Delivery Officer since 2021, Juli has helped drive transformational change throughout the organization, leading the chapter to grant a record number of wishes in a single year.

Starting her career with Make-A-Wish OKI in 2003 as an intern has given Juli a unique perspective and pathway through the organization that few can claim. She has a proven record of success in her 15 years of direct fundraising experience and leadership.

Juli is a Purdue University graduate and lives in central Indiana with her husband, Dan, and their four boys, Lucas, Charlie, Jonny, Teddy, and dog, Millie. As a family, they love basketball season and anything that takes
them outdoors, with the annual winter ski trip a favorite.

Previous President & CEO Stephanie McCormick retired in January after nearly 15 years with Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, and
Make-A-Wish Orange County & the Inland Empire.

Connect with Juli by sending her an email at jmiller@oki.wish.org
