As our Senior Major Gifts Officer, Dennis Schrag shares how in-kind donations can go above and beyond the usual expectations for a wish. Dennis got to be a part of a wish in a different way when Yaya wished for a sensory backyard makeover. The team needed tree logs and tree rounds to complete the backyard transformation, so Dennis sourced some timber from a fallen tree in his neighbor’s yard after a storm. “It was kismet!” Dennis says. “They were happy to help. Some volunteers came to pick up the pieces and deliver them to the family’s home. Now, that tree is a part of Yaya’s backyard play area!”

American and JetBlue fliers are welcome to donate their points or miles to Make-A-Wish. However, we are unable to apply these points or miles towards our chapter's mileage goal total as they may not be directed in full to our local chapter by Make-A-Wish America.
