Cal Women's Soccer
Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area Dedication Game
Cailin Bloom is a senior on the Cal women's soccer team whose sister, Samantha, was diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Make-A-Wish granted Samantha's wish to go to the Bahamas and be a dolphin trainer for a day. After going into remission in 2016, Samantha's cancer returned a few years later and she passed away in 2019. To honor her memory and raise awareness about the incredible work that Make-A-Wish does, Cailin is dedicating the soccer team's game vs Duke to Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area. There will be food trucks, post-game autographs with the team, and special raffle items. This event celebrates Samantha's life but also highlights the impact of Make-A-Wish on families like Cailin's, giving children with life-threatening illnesses the chance to experience joy and create lasting memories during difficult times.
Buy your tickets, cheer on Cal, enjoy an exciting match, and be part of restoring hope for local wish kids. You can also donate directly to Cailin's "Wish Your Way" fundraiser.
