Ana has volunteered for the Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area chapter for over seven years and has devoted herself to Make-A-Wish. She's an active wish granter, helping especially with Spanish-language wish families. Additionally, Ana has assisted the Make-A-Wish program team with administrative tasks, including placing a high volume of welcome calls to new families when they get referred and recently assisted with translation for planning a quinceañera wish. 

Make-A-Wish staff member Becki Smith writes of Ana's help, "she has been a tremendous support with welcome calls to both our English and Spanish-speaking families, providing thorough communication to and from the wish families and very timely with her tasks. Ana also recently supported a quinceañera wish where she served as the primary communicator between the family and the wish planner for the entirety of the event planning. That wish would not have been nearly as successful without her translation support and compassionate approach to the family. Overall, Ana has been incredibly reliable and a joy to work with! Her passion and commitment are clear, and we are so grateful for her support!"

Ana writes, "Being a volunteer for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area has been one of my favorite things to do. I'm happy to help with administrative support and wish granting. There is no happier feeling than seeing the smile on a wish kid's face when they learn their dream wish is coming true, and to be a part of coordinating the reveal celebration of the wish itself is so awesome!"
