Salary: $50,000
Schedule: Hybrid – 40% in office/60% work from home
Wish Specialists work with wish families, donors, volunteers, and other departments to grant life-changing wishes for eligible children in the central and western regions of North Carolina.

Coordinate, organize and manage all aspects of the wish granting process – ensuring compliance with the standards of the national and local offices.

Build strong relationships with the wish families to ensure a positive and impactful wish experience.

Conducts Wish Discovery Visits for each assigned wish child in partnership with one volunteer wish granter.

Works with families, volunteers, vendors and donors throughout the wish process to ensure a quality wish experience.

Develop and manage the budget for each assigned wish – adhering to policies for expenses, required documentation and file closing following the completion of a wish. Track in-kind donations and cash expenditures properly

Maintains records in Salesforce database.

Protects wish file confidentiality through chapter approved systems and personnel training.

Provide 24-hour emergency phone coverage for pending wishes.

Consistently implements national and chapter wish-granting policies, guidelines, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent program quality and to protect wish families and the Foundation.

Helps to identify and solve program issues and increase quality of wish experience for families and volunteers.

Responsible for obtaining required signatures and documents required for each wish type.

Ability to motivate and support a diverse constituency.

Other duties as assigned by the Wish Director.

Fluent in Spanish desired but not required.

Required to participate in multiple internal special events each year, including but not limited to: Trailblaze Challenge (Friday through Sunday commitment), Wish Ball, Kentucky Derby Classic, Pitchin’ For Wishes.

Ideal candidate would have logistics planning, child life, communications or similar background.

Exceptional organizational and interpersonal communication skills.

Strong ability to multitask while being extremely detail-oriented.

Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor.

Ability to work and collaborate as part of a small, fast-paced team.

Ability to work weekends and evening wishes/events/functions as required.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
