Volunteer Position
Time Commitment: September 2025 – January 2026

An auction committee is a group of individuals volunteering their time and/or personal relationships to help procure silent auction items and packages. Our chapter’s Director of Events is looking for volunteers interested in devoting their time and being an instrumental part in helping secure a fantastic auction line up for our 23rd annual Wish Ball gala on March 6th, 2026. Every dollar raised covers the costs of granting a wish!
Item Procurement
- Solicitation and organization of silent auction items for chapter’s Wish Ball gala.
- Locating & securing a variety of items for silent auction. This involves brainstorming potential donors and creating a wish list. Contacting businesses and individuals to secure donations.
- Creative attractive packages
- Photographing items
- Tracking donation and donor information
- Entering donations and item donors into the event donation portal.
- Picking up auction items from donors and dropping off to the office or arranging for staff to pick up.
- Monthly Touchbase (or as needed)
- Committee members will meet and discuss the status of leads, where assistance is needed, logistical needs for auction item pick up, etc.
