Emma is an active 9-year-old from Pinehurst who enjoys swimming. Emma also has leukemia. While her summer may be consumed by doctor visits and treatments rather than vacations, swimming allows Emma to dream. When Emma swims, she dives deep into the water and imagines a magical world where she can swim with her very own mermaid tail. Your support helped grant Emma’s wish and offered her an escape from endless doctor’s appointments.
