Wish Kid Elliott

Elliott's Home Run

Thanks to passionate supporters like Elliott who shine a light of hope for children fighting critical illnesses.

A few days past his 12th birthday, a North Carolina kid fighting cancer traveled to Ohio to have his wish granted. Elliott, a good-natured boy with a deep passion for baseball, wished to be the manager of the Cincinnati Reds. The wish experience was a home run for wish kid Elliott, bringing hope and joy when he needed it most.

Years later, that wish kid now an adult, returned to Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina to help make wishes come true for more kids. Elliott has hiked the Trailblaze Challenge - twice! - raising much needed funds for more wishes. Elliott also continues to be involved with our chapter in other ways. With the Trailblaze Challenge program, he helps with trainings, hikes, and wherever else he can. Elliott shares his powerful story of fighting cancer and what it's like to have a wish granted - and we’re grateful he’s here to do so. Make-A-Wish really touched his heart and he’s determined to pay it forward to help touch the lives of more children and families fighting critical illnesses.

Challenge yourself and help make more wishes possible for inspiring kids like Elliott. To learn more about ways to help, visit here.
