Summary

Supervisors:  Corporate and Event Fundraising Director Team

Description:  The Development Intern is responsible for assisting with the administration of Make-A-Wish corporate and event fundraising activities. This position will work with the Director Team to accomplish a dynamic and time sensitive task list to help achieve campaign success and revenue goals.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Director of Special Events with:
    • Solicitation and organization of silent auction items for chapter fundraising events
    • Implementation of event logistics for chapter fundraising and cultivation events. Examples include:
      • Printing materials
      • Preparing goodie bags for event participants
      • Organization of event materials and supplies
  • Assist Director of Corporate Philanthropy with:
    • Donor research and meeting note preparation
    • Recording of donor information and meeting takeaways into chapter database
    • Stewardship outreach to corporate partners and donors
  • Assisting Director of Community Engagement with:
    • Marketing and outreach for fundraising events
    • Coordination of engagement activities for Make-A-Wish family alumni
    • Compilation of wish family outreach notes to help drive clear actions
    • Crafting and creation of up to date and relevant wish stories to be shared with donors and supporters
  • Other duties as assigned

The position is at the Chapter Headquarter Office in Charlotte, NC.  The internship is unpaid.

Requirements

Ideal majors:  Business, Non-Profit Management, Events Management, Marketing, Communications. 

Time Commitment:  Minimum of 15 hours per week, unpaid.
