As part of his annual Kicks for Kids initiative, Cody Zeller will be wearing custom sneakers to honor Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina in-game on February 20th and 22nd.
The shoes were hand-painted by Charlotte artist Ryan Bare and inspired by the wishes of four different local children. Each kid is currently waiting for his or her wish to be granted. After wearing the shoes in game, Cody will donate the sneakers to Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina that will be auctioned off as a way to raise additional funds at their virtual Wish Ball on Feb. 26, 2021. There is no cost to sign-up and virtually attend the event. Everyone is invited to participate by visiting ncwishball.org.
In addition, Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina will receive a $15,000 grant from Cody’s Like A Child Foundation.
