What is your position, and how long have you been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
I’m the Director of Operations and I have been with the foundation for over 14 years.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working at Make-A-Wish?
Our mission and working with such an amazing team of staff and volunteers.

What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
There are so many, but one memorable moment that warmed my heart was watching staff dress bears for the Build-A-Bear wish. We had a child wish to make bears at Build-A-Bear and give them to kids staying at Children’s Hospital. The bears were made and then shipped to the Make-A-Wish office along with boxes of outfits. Staff gathered in the office conference room one afternoon and helped dress the bears before they were sent over to Children’s. It was a wonderful break from our regular work. 

Are there any personal, fun facts you'd like to share?
My favorite hobbies are reading, biking, skiing and working out at the gym.

What advice (if any) would you give to new volunteers?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and provide us with your feedback. You are key to the success of this wonderful mission.
