What is your position and how long have you been working for Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
What is the most rewarding aspect of working for Make-A-Wish?
Getting to see the pure joy on a child's face when their wish comes true and getting to share that joy with others through our storytelling as an organization.
What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
It's so hard to choose just one because every wish is special and I've had the honor of being a wish granting volunteer for 10 wish kids. But before I was even a volunteer, I got to watch wish kid Kamden's wish come true to transform into Super K and be a superhero for a day. Volunteers crafted him a "super mobile" that he could attach to his wheelchair. The whole day he had the biggest smile on his face and his parents had constant tears of joy. Watching him and his sister (Fantastic Faith) zip around the city fighting bad guys and following clues was what solidified my desire to work for Make-A-Wish and make sure that every eligible child gets to experience a wish as amazing and impactful as that.
Are there any personal fun facts you would like to share?
I started out my time with Make-A-Wish as a Communications and Special Events intern and blue is my favorite color which means I am always excited to be on brand!
