What is your position, and how long have you been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
I have the honor of serving as the President and CEO and started October 2, 2023. I led Make-A-Wish® South Dakota for more than seven years and worked for Make-A-Wish® America for three years. I have been involved with Make-A-Wish since 2010.

What is the most rewarding aspect of working at Make-A-Wish?
The most rewarding part is knowing the difference we are making in the lives of wish kids and their families. And of course, having a chance to meet some of the wish kids and families firsthand.

What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
There are so many favorites! One that stands out is a car makeover that we did for a teenage boy in South Dakota. Besides seeing how excited the wish kid was to see his updated car, which might have been nicer than it was originally, the employees who worked on the car were as equally excited. Make-A-Wish impacts the wish kid, family, the volunteers and everyone who is a part of the wish experience.

Are there any personal, fun facts you'd like to share?
I have three kids and this spring my oldest, Emily, a junior at Bethel University, will be interning with our Mission Delivery team.

What advice (if any) would you give to new volunteers?
Enjoy every minute. Be open to wish kids and families and their unique perspectives. Your life will continually be changed and each child will make a mark on you.
