What is your position, and how long have you been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota?
My position is Director of Development and I have been working at Make-A-Wish Minnesota for almost 2 years.  

What is the most rewarding aspect of working at Make-A-Wish?
Connecting people to our mission and knowing that I’m playing a small part in helping to bring hope and joy to wish kids and their families.

What is one of your favorite wish experiences?
I was able to attend wish kid Leila’s she-shed reveal in November. It was really inspiring to witness so many passionate volunteers and staff working together in the freezing cold to make sure Leila had the most joyful day. I will never forget the pure happiness I saw in Leila’s smile when she first walked through the door of her shed. It will be a constant reminder of the important work that we all do and the magic that can happen when people and communities come together to create joy and hope for our wish kids.  

Are there any personal, fun facts you'd like to share?
Chips are my most favorite food in the world and I would eat them all day if I could.

What advice (if any) would you give to new volunteers?
Be patient with yourself and the wish families and take time to enjoy the volunteer experience!
