Shai wished for a playset.

Shai’s wish for a playset was shared at our Wish Ball Detroit gala! It's a great example of our Detroit Forward Focus effort to help grant more wishes in the Southeast Michigan area as well as reaching more kids in parts of the state and meeting them where they are to grant transformational wishes.

Shai’s medical diagnosis’ is (LCH) Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis and Diabetes Insipidous and wanted a playset with monkey bars for his wish.

His mom Hayley shared “When I see him on the monkey bars it makes him look so strong and just seeing that strength in him has been really precious.” Shai’s dad Demyron was so thankful of the joy this wish has brought to their family. “There is a four-year-old little boy on the West side of Detroit that is super thankful for Make-A-Wish and all of the donors that makes this possible.”

Also, thanks to Carrie German-Wright and Shauna Morrow at Mario Morrow & Associates for their wish volunteer assist during Shai’s wish!

A wish gives a child with a critical illness the opportunity to imagine and explore possibilities. Give hope to more than 800 Michigan wish kids waiting for their wish.
