Make-A-Wish® Michigan adds two members to the Board of Directors
Brighton, Mich., December 1, 2022 – Make-A-Wish® Michigan is pleased to announce two new board members were recently elected to the organization’s volunteer Board of Directors:
- Ellyn Davidson, CEO and Owner, Brogan & Partners
- Charlie Wondergem, Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Aspen Surgical
Ellyn Davidson
Ellyn Davidson, CEO and owner of Brogan & Partners, is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. She is actively involved in the community as an Executive Member of the Michigan Region BBYO Commission and on the board of Winning Futures. With a BBA in marketing and operations management from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an international business specialization from the London School of Economics, Ellyn is an accomplished marketer who has led the Brogan team since 2010. Ellyn, of Huntington Woods, is a breast cancer survivor who serves as an inspiration for other women battling breast cancer and speaks about her journey to help encourage and motivate others. She has received numerous awards to honor and celebrate her dedication to the community including: being honored as a Notable Women in Marketing by Crain’s Detroit Business, receiving a Career Mastered leadership in action award, being recognized as an Esteemed Woman of Michigan by the Dr. Gary Burnstein Health Clinic, and being recognized as a RARE Everyday Hero by Winning Futures. Ellyn is excited for the opportunity to bring her talent, experience, expertise and passion to help make wishes come true for Michigan children battling critical illnesses.
Charlie Wondergem
Charlie Wondergem, Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Aspen Surgical, has been involved with Make-A-Wish Michigan as a wish-granting volunteer since 2017 and is the founding chair of the Leadership Advisory Council (LAC) . In addition to his prior experience holding roles with Perrigo Company plc and Huron Capital Partners, Charlie is the cofounder of the Billy Bear Hug Foundation. This foundation, founded in memory of his older brother, Billy, provides the “cure of comfort” to Michigan children with critical illnesses and, through its Youth Advisory Board service-learning program, gives high school students hands-on experience operating a nonprofit organization. Charlie, of Grand Rapids, is a 2013 graduate of the University of Denver and in 2020, was named to Grand Rapids Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Business Leaders. Charlie has hosted cultivation events for Make-A-Wish Michigan during his tenure on the LAC and has been involved in directly working with wish families to help make their heartfelt wish come true. Charlie is looking forward to serving the Make-A-Wish mission in this new capacity.
