Wish Families & Alumni

Wish It Forward is a community for wish kids and their families who have experienced the joy of a wish with our chapter. 

Make-A-Wish Greater LA’s Wish Alumni Program fosters a community of Make-A-Wish alumni, families, and staff who work together to support each other’s journeys, share the impact of your wishes and advance our vision of granting a wish for every eligible child.

We are actively creating a community of wish families and alumni in Los Angeles that is fostered by shared connections and experiences, with the goal of creating new and lasting relationships.

Through our Wish It Forward program, wish alumni can meet other wish families, share their story, attend local events, and stay connected to our mission.  

Here are some great ways that wish alumni can stay involved with Make-A-Wish:

• Donate or fundraise vital funds: Your support will help bring life-changing wishes to life, now and into the future. Donate Now
• Share your story: Stories and images from past wish kids are one of the most powerful ways to demonstrate the joy and impact of a wish and ignite support in our mission. Please send any pictures and videos with a brief description of the wish experience to [email protected].
• Join our Alumni Facebook Group: This CLOSED group is only for wish families and alumni and is a great place to find out about events, ways to volunteer and opportunities for involvement. Join Now
• Volunteer your time: Our mission is only possible thanks to the tireless work of our dedicated group of volunteers. Join us and be a real-life superhero for children in your community. Learn More
• Refer a child: Every wish experience begins with a referral. We rely on wish referrals from caring individuals to help us reach more kids with critical illnesses every year and grant them a wish that changes lives, forever. Learn More

A great way to stay involved with Make-A-Wish Greater LA is through the Wish Families & Alumni Facebook group. This CLOSED group is only for wish families and alumni and is a great place to find out about events, ways to volunteer and opportunities for involvement. It’s a great platform for our organization to engage with families and for them to not only engage with us, but with each other as well. On the page, families can share their stories and connect with other families in similar circumstances as their own.
