Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles Welcomes Board Chair Peter McPartlin, EVP, Paramount Pictures

Los Angeles, CA – May 5, 2022 – Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Board of Directors has elected Peter McPartlin, Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business, Paramount Pictures as Board Chair. McPartlin has served on the Make-A-Wish Greater LA Board for five years, deepening Paramount Pictures’ long-term support of the charity which long pre-dates McPartlin’s involvement. Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses and recently celebrated World Wish Day on April 29th, the date of the first wish ever granted.

“Prior to and throughout the pandemic, Peter’s visionary leadership and passion for Make-A-Wish has been instrumental in helping us reach children with life-changing wishes when they need them most," said Mike Kallhoff, President & CEO, Make-A-Wish Greater LA. “We are incredibly lucky to have Peter’s generous support and his tireless advocacy at Paramount Pictures. His efforts have resulted in countless life-changing wishes granted and will continue to fuel our organization’s growth in Los Angeles and beyond.”

Paramount Pictures has granted wishes globally including: to voice a character in the new “Transformers” movie; to voice a character in the animated feature “Rumble”; to have a big screen tv to watch movies with family; and to host a special screening of the “Clifford” movie for friends and family. Prior to Paramount, McPartlin served as COO/EVP of Business and Legal Affairs at Indian Paintbrush Productions, VP of Business and Legal Affairs at Miramax Films, and Counsel at O’Melveny & Myers. McPartlin received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles also welcomed new board members Stephanie Ito, President, Post Production & Innovation, Paramount Pictures and Tom Powell, Business Unit CFO, BrightView.
