Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Wish Gala 2019 Honored Jason Keller, Paul Fuhrman & IMDb with ESPN Correspondent Chris Connelly as Host and Special Performance by Multi-Grammy Winner Chaka Khan
Los Angeles, CA – November 21, 2019 – Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Wish Gala raised $1.5 million Wednesday, November 20. During the star-studded Gala, held at The Beverly Hilton, Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles celebrated granting 10,000 wishes for children in LA County. The Gala honored Jason Keller, Managing Director and Head of Residential Investments for Oaktree’s Real Estate group, Paul Fuhrman, Managing Director, Miramar Capital and IMDb Pro. ESPN Correspondent Chris Connelly served as Gala Host. The night ended with a special performance by Multi-Grammy Winning Artist Chaka Khan.
Global investment management firm Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (“Oaktree”) served as presenting sponsor of Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Wish Gala 2019. The November 20th fundraiser brought together LA-area supporters, wish families, corporations, and celebrities, including Shameless Star Steve Howey and The Bachelorette’s Chad Johnson, to help grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
“We are deeply appreciative of everyone who came out to support Make-A-Wish last night at our 2019 Gala,” said Mike Kallhoff, President & CEO, Make-A-Wish Greater LA. “Because of our presenting sponsor Oaktree Capital and all of our donors and sponsors, we were able to raise $1.5 million for the 550 children in our community waiting for their wishes to be granted.”
Past year’s honorees include Nickelodeon, Nelson & Christopher Rising, Robert Downey Jr., Scooter Braun, Kobe Bryant and the LA Kings. Last year’s Gala was kicked off by Boyz II Men and headlined by OneRepublic.
The Wish Gala is Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ largest fundraiser of the year and helps the foundation grant wishes for hundreds of children throughout the coming year. All proceeds from Make-A-Wish Greater Los Angeles’ Wish Gala will support the more than 550 children waiting for their wishes in LA.
