After being diagnosed with cancer, twelve-year-old Jason had his wish to attend the World Series granted in 1989.
"The day was more than just a game, it was a powerful escape from the reality of treatments, hospital visits and medical routines. For one incredible day, I got to be a kid again."
His wish was a turning point that helped him push through the hard days and continues to inspire him today. Jason gives back to Make-A-Wish Illinois as a wish granting volunteer and served as a board member for 6 years. For Jason, his wish represents hope, healing, and the power of joy during life’s most difficult moments.
