Mission Speaker - Wish Mom Amanda Beedle
Wish mom Amanda Beedle shares her daughter's journey of being diagnosed with a very rare genetic brain disease, and the impact of her wish for an outdoor sensory space.
While reflecting on the impact of a wish, Amanda shares that one wish brings joy to a child, an entire family, and to an entire community.Â
"Annabelle’s wish has provided her with a safe space to play that meets her unique physical and sensory needs", Amanda continues. "A complicated medical journey affects the entire family. This beautiful sensory space has offered us all a place of respite and recharge."
Seizures were one of the first signs of Annabelle's illness.
Annabelle loves being a big sister.
Not only does Annabelle's wish delight her, but her entire family enjoys spending time in her wish garden.
She loves all of the special touches created by her volunteers just for her. Many of the items provide sensory experiences for Annabelle, important because her disease is affecting her vision.
Challenges most would find frustrating and defeating; Annabelle meets with a patience, sweetness, resiliency, and hope that inspire myself and others every single day.
