Brayden is brave, strong, and full of wonder—and like so many kids, he absolutely loves Disney. Disney has always held a special place in Brayden’s life. His mother, Cora, introduced Disney music to her son before he was even born, filling their days with songs of hope and love.
After Brayden underwent his first open-heart surgery as a newborn, Cora would sing “You’ll Be in My Heart” from Tarzan to comfort him during long, emotional hospital nights. The song became a source of strength for both mother and son, and to this day, Disney music continues to bring Brayden peace and joy.
During their trip to Florida, Brayden and his family stayed at Give Kids The World Village, a magical place designed to create unforgettable memories for families like theirs. This trip was especially meaningful—it was their very first family vacation and their first time visiting Florida—making every moment even more special.
While staying at the village, Brayden had the chance to personally meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse, creating memories the family will cherish forever. One evening, the village hosted a Halloween party where each child left with a Disney light saber, adding even more magic to an already unforgettable experience.
Reflecting on the trip, Cora shared, “Words cannot begin to express how grateful I am—not only for Brayden’s wish, but for every person involved in making it happen. I started crying during the fireworks when they played the song I sang to Brayden every night in the hospital. They were happy tears—knowing how strong and brave he is, and that the hardest times are now behind us. As a family, we can finally breathe and simply be together.”
