Susanna absolutely loves to learn and read.
She is fascinated by all kinds of animals, studying them, and watching them. She looks at the world with awe and wonder and always wants to know more.
From going to the Zoo in Boise, to seeing how machines work, the world is truly Susanna’s classroom. Her joy radiates to those around her – Susanna loves life, and her curiosity is inspiring.
In October of 2018, Susanna was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. This diagnosis brought new challenges for Susanna and her family to face.
Susanna wished for a trip to the San Diego Zoo, and her family took off to Southern California to begin their marvelous adventure. Upon arrival, Susanna was able to see all the amazing animals up close and was able to pet and feed them during her very special trip. Susanna was even able to meet her new favorite animal to learn about – a sea turtle!
This trip was such a special moment for Susanna and her family. “If there is anyone who personifies ‘stop and smell the roses,’ Susanna is that person,” Susanna’s Mom said. “She goes into the world to explore and have fun with great joy and wonder.”
Susanna’s joy for learning and her curiosity for life is something we can all be inspired by. Susanna’s willingness to do what is needed to get better has shown everyone around her what a soul filled with hope and strength is capable of doing.
